Community volunteer and Planning Commissioner, Sam Cannon, is seeking a seat on the Roseville City Council where there will be two seats open due to term limits.

“Roseville’s reputation and the City’s commitment to quality of life are why my wife and I moved here to raise our family.” said Cannon. “That’s the legacy I’ll protect.”
Cannon has a long record of community involvement in Roseville. He has served on the City’s Planning Commission since 2005. Prior to that, he served for 5 years on the City’s Public Utilities Commission.
He has also served on the City-wide Growth Management and Visioning Committee as well as the Historic Downtown Steering Committee that worked closely with the Downtown Revitalization Committee.
Cannon works as Chief of Staff to Assemblyman Paul Cook, who is often the “go to” Legislator on issues affecting California cities. “My job routinely calls on me to fight for the needs of cities and counties. Roseville can benefit from my legislative background and experience.”

Sam and his wife Michelle have two daughters, Madeline and Cameron. In addition to their busy civic involvement, the Cannon family is active in local public schools as well as many sports and recreational activities available through the City.
